Dr. Matian, a highly skilled and forward-thinking dentist based in Encino, California, is committed to providing his community with cutting-edge dental care. A San Fernando Valley native, Dr. Matian has called this area home since he was two years old. He began his academic journey with a Bachelor of Science in Business and Computer Science in 2000, gaining a strong foundation in digital workflows and technological innovation. Inspired by his father’s career in dentistry, he pursued his passion for the field, seeing it as an ideal blend of science, artistry, and technology.

From the start of his dental education at USC School of Dentistry, Dr. Matian was drawn to advanced digital dentistry, incorporating CAD/CAM technology, metal-free materials, and dental implants. BioDental, the practice he founded, is built on the principles of biomimetic dentistry, a field dedicated to conserving and mimicking the natural function and structure of teeth. Under the mentorship of some of the world’s leading dentists, Dr. Matian honed his skills, especially in cosmetic dentistry, which combines his creative vision with technical precision.
At BioDental, Dr. Matian leads the practice with a mission to advance dental technology and biocompatibility. His commitment to digital workflows, including on-site 3D scanning, ceramic dental implants, and 3D printing, ensures highly personalized and efficient care for every patient. His practice also offers treatments like Ozone therapy and emphasizes the use of biocompatible materials to promote overall health and wellness, all in a state-of-the-art facility.
Since establishing BioDental as a full-time practice in 2013, Dr. Matian has been dedicated to evolving it as a leader in biocompatible and technology-enhanced dentistry. He’s also an instructor at Da Vinci Dental Studios, where he shares his expertise in porcelain veneers. Dr. Matian lives in Tarzana, California, with his wife and two children. Outside of dentistry, he enjoys exploring new technologies, reading about advancements in science, fitness, and travel.
